The Sanctuary is located on the island of Carriacou, in the Grenadine Islands.
Situated atop a hill overlooking the beautiful L’Estere Bay, the property is a historic estate, settled by a well-known family.
The original plantation house, said to have been built around the 1830′s, was completely destroyed by an earthquake. It was rebuilt with stone walls and foundations.
Through the years, the house fell into disrepair.
A renowned British philanthropist purchased the land, and renovated the residence for his family’s use.
They so loved the property that they built a beach restaurant and dock for the locals, and people arriving by boat.
Currently, the grand home welcomes guests with an opulent reception salon on the entry level, while a health and wellness spa pampers its patrons on the second.
Sprinkled around the property are the guest bungalows and rondovals, providing privacy and comfort for those who venture here.
